Hamilton, Canada

LOL I bet you did too Owen...watch out for the stampede...lol...you better post when they are all gone :-)

I have this if it is orange enough. When it was given to me it was marked Jutner's but I have been told it isn't.

Hows this for orange? :-)

(Zone 6a)

Believe it or not....I have had NO requests yet for the HG's. BTW, I will have several cuttings from my versicolor peach, Dr. Seuss, Jessie Noel, candida double white, and EP in about three weeks (just before frost sometime) for first come first served. No need to throw 'em in the garbage if someone can use them:) I have no space to winter them over.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

honibee, we all had jutner orange last years that turned out to be charles grimaldi.

elicpse, are you offering cuttings? which one is that?

(Zone 6a)

Eclipse.....Orange enuf for me! Will take two. LOL

Arlene.....Both of my Jutner Oranges turned out to be Dr. Seuss, but they are great plants. Some kind person is going to send me a genuine CG this fall:)

Hamilton, Canada

Hamilton, Canada

Owen,

You have email. :D

Hamilton, Canada

Kyle is that flower on the 2 foot tall plant? If it is its causing me to have hot flashes!!...lol.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

This is jutner orange that I have. It has sawed leaves so what is it? It looked yellow the first blooming but took on an orange color this time. Just full of blooms and keeps budding. I can send a cutting Joydie or will root you one.

GRC - my vote is for Seuss.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i think dr suess too. and i apologize... i received jutner orange from KHT, thought it was marked right! until it looked exactly like my dr suess. i fear a bunch of us unknowingly traded this with the wrong name, i'm sure i'm not the only one that received it with that name and i know i sent cuttings under that name! but it is a great brug!!

(Zone 6a)

I think Dr. Seuss also

Woodville, TX(Zone 8a)

Owen, When your other cuttings are ready in about 3 weeks, I would love to have a couple of any you could send me. Please let me know. Thanks, Jan.

Kingston, OK(Zone 7a)

OWEN: Dont throw them away please. eyes gave me my first one last month and it is doing great. Looking at the pictures I am hooked now. I have a storm celler 10x12 that I am going to try and make over with lights and heat. Got lots to learn yet. Zone 7a Texoma land. Will send postage

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'd say Dr. Suess too. Of course, he is a nice one with a great fragrance. I have to say that I have sent out my share of brugs labeled Charles Grimaldi and they ended up being Dr. Suess. If anyone has one from me labeled Grimaldi, and if it has serrated leaves, you need to change your tag to say Dr. Suess. I'm sorry this happened, but at the time I don't think any of us knew the difference. Thanks to Kyle, we do have this one pretty much straightened out now.

(Zone 6a)

luv2garden: you have e-mail

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Owen, If you have any of the Jupiter Orange left after
all the other requests , I sure would love to have a cutting............Patricia

Mukwonago, WI(Zone 5a)

Brugie, Not to worry about the name of this little gem you sent. The CG tag has now been officially changed to read: Dr. Suess. It is still one of my favorites. And the fragrance one may ask? INtoxicating ! Even the "cat" agrees. lol
Please ignore that puny thing in the green pot. It's probably the only Sang in the whole world that just won't grow.

My Sangs didn't grow either.........but mine are GONE!! Brug heaven for them. I like your flower beds.

Joydie, my aurea hybrid orange is cut down to the socks, but later, when the new growth is getting stronger I like to root one for you. Did you get the golden hybrid?

for those that don't know, you can't legally mail plants to CA without a phyto certificate. just a little tidbit from someone who's been going through withdrawals and now has to talk a lot all at one time.

Hamilton, Canada

Tonny, I received them luv...did you read my post underneath your posting regarding how you package them? They arrived in good condition, but Ida and another soft green cutting didn't make it when I tried to root them. The others I have them potted up and some are putting out tiny new growth. These are indoors under growlights. I still routinely do my early morning bug check on all my plants. I've babied all of them even the ones from seeds.

(Zone 6a)

Those green cuttings seem to rot just looking at them:) LOL

I think the secret is to keep them warm and the pro mix just barely moist.

Hamilton, Canada

Owen I kept them barely moist in potting soil, but they just kept rotting from the bottom up..then i cut the bottoms off and dipped them in the fungicide..still no luck.
I had a suaveolens cutting do the same thing on me...finally I gave up on it...LOL. My other cuttings did great! There will always be another time :-)

(Zone 6a)

LOL Yep, another day:) I will take a hardwood cutting any day though. These green ones are really too challenging:).....better than no cutting, so don't misunderstand me:)

Owen

Hamilton, Canada

Owen of course not, I fully understand what you mean. I've looked for cuttings for my sister also who is stateside in Indiana. I showed her Dr. Priessel's book and she just loved them! When she was here in July for our family reunion I took pictures of her and my neices standing beside the brugs and cannas. Now she is growing her first brugs!
