these pods are the same age.
E9 pods
what are the daddys?? and what is that pink brug?
tig, meant to say, that is versicolor cuba. i can't tell much difference in v cuba, v peach, and v orange except v orange is bigger.
they are moth pollinated. the pods are the same age, wondering if it's a different dad showing up or just less seeds?
well, I'd been going to ask for a cutting of cuba, mine didn't make it. but if it's the same flower, I'm good:) time to cull, time to cull!!
Me again Arlene. I was just thinking yesterday how much bigger the bloom is on Cuba than my peach/orange. The Cuba seems to darken more too, but again, it might all have to do with our temps now. It is a pretty one in any case.
brugie, could be the weather and or soil conditions, don't know. i measured v orange against v peach a while back and vo was larger. but at a casual glance, they all look pretty much the same to me. v cuba does have nicer leaves than the other 2, at least in my yard, more like candida leaves than the other two.
You are right about the leaves. The whole plant grows differently than the V.O. and V.P. I'm thinking seriously about keeping the whole plant this year since it isn't huge and see what happens with it in the spring. One I will not keep is US Conn. Treasurers. That thing is a space hog.
making me rethink begging:)
tiG, just put it on your list. Should be mailing out within the next couple of weeks.
now what is it I could possibly have for all those things you've been adding to that list???? LOL!!!
Tonny, i think these look like candida podss, but the one on the right is bigger and pointed, the one on the left is stubbed off flat on the bottom. wondering if that means different dads??
