Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this is a wonderful new seedling from Cala. Two were open this morning, the rest just now. total touch of yellow all over, and we'll see what tomorrow brings. This has the same shape as Spring Peach, and it darkened every day.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Love the shape on that one. Lots of blooms for a seedling!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

poppy, this is every bud on it I think! LOL! when the first two bloomed this morning, the others didn't look that close.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Isn't that how versi-colors bloom. All at once like that?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

very pretty, can't wait to see the color.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

okay, this looks just like Spring Peach flower to me http://davesgarden.com/fp.php?pid=44616

and this is what monika said about it 'this hybrid has genes of suaveolens, aurea and versicolor.
From suaveolens is the funnel shaped corolla tube, the skirts and the tendrils are aurea inheritance and the pending flower is versicolor influence. EP is almost a pure versicolor as my EP x Rothkirch hybrids look like x candidas. They dont differ very much.'
so I'm assuming that this one isn't versicolor either. I know nothing!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

and because you go by the flower shape it would be suaveolens

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

That's my baby!!! I'm so glad someone got a not white one!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I really don't think this one is going to be white. could be just cream, but don't think so. we'll see over the next few days:)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I love the way the blooms hang down and you know yellow is my favorite color. I hope it has a little side shoot on it sometime.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL!! susie, just checked and it is putting out a small shot from the bottom just for you. it's only 42" tall now!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Wow tiG, now I am green. You and Cala did a wonderful job. I to though Versi when I saw it, so by the flower not the plant.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

that's what monika has said several times.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Ya know I love the shape!!!:-)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I do too, this is my favorite shape. kissed her lovingly with some special pollens :)

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Way to go tiG and Cala. Can hardly wait to see it in daylight. Very pretty.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I'm gonna send all my seeds to TiG, she's got the touch.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Very nice flower and if it turns yellow that would be so cool. Keep us posted tiG.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL!!! yet, just run short of time and money for all the food sometimes! LOL. I have been so blessed, and still have some coming from Gloria, MsJen and arlene! don't know if most of those will bloom this year, I do think one Ollie x might.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

tiG, remember I told ya a while back when you had no blooms that you'd catch up soon? Well it looks like you've caught up and then some. You'll have to keep us northerners in blooms during the winter.Keep taking those pictures. We'll need them in a short while.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL! I'm taking enough so that I will have a different picture for every post I make all through the winter!! it is wonderful, and I wondered if I'd ever get here.

Beautiful shape to that flower. Gotta love it.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Wow, beautiful flower, tiG. Keep us informed about any color changes.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

here's this mornings pic. in person, it's a pale green!! LOL! but the first flower to bloom has a big peach/pink blotch, and I'm waiting til tomorrow:)

ok TiG...looks like a watermelon-mint julep coming up.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL! we'll see..... there won't be time for a second big flush, it has teeny buds, but time is running out.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I'm doomed to have white/green blooms forever!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

sorry :( still crossing my fingers for in the morning!!! it's a gorgeous shape!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

If it stays white, give my piece to Kell, lol.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

sorry Cala :( but it's such a lovely shape, only droops a bit during the day. I put Cherie Amour pollen on them, and if they take, we'll see what comes next year:)

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Thanks TiG. I have a couple of seedlings opening today and it sure does look like they are white!! Then again, Daybreak was white the first time it bloomed, and this second time is a lovely lemon yellow so maybe there is hope.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well, I'm not composting this one, it's too pretty.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

tiG, You have mail. Your Brugs are just beautiful.

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

It's beautiful. I love the shape of the flowers

(Zone 6a)

I love that one! Does it stay open or wilt during the daytime? Fragrant?

I have a white one that stays open during the daytime, but it is a smallish flower with only trace of fragrance....from a seed this spring. May keep it...not sure yet. May just stick with my candida double white.

It's kind of pretty, wonder if it will be darker the next flush of blooms?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

we're going to see. and hoping it passes the shape down to seedlings.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I do like that shape. I've got a few versicolor orange seeds, wonder what they will be? Probably a lot of white don't you think?
