Sunray

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Sunray decided to bloom one last time. It has bloomed most of the summer with only a short rest in between.

Take a bow Kyle. A really nice plant - and you still can't have mine back!

Mine hasn't bloomed yet, but I'm keeping mine too.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I have two and neither have bloomed. If they don't soon, I'll have to give their space to something else.

Hamilton, Canada

Cala I have a space for them here=====>"Joydie's house"...lol. Very lovely flower snowhermit.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Terry, can you tell me what kind of leaves it has? Mine from a trader has soft, somewhat velvet leaves, hasn't bloomed yet, so will I be in for a surprise???

Gloria

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Very very pretty.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Hibiscus the leaves should have smooth serrated leaves.not hairy.....

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Uh oh. Serrated? I don't think mine is serrated. I got mine from Valley-Gro. I'll have to check tomorrow and see for sure. It has buds but they haven't opened yet.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Snow, does yours have serrated leaves? They look kinda smooth edged in the first picture, but pictures don't always show up right. Second one shows a little. Just wondering.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks, they are NOT serrated, they are soft, velvety!!!

BOY! Will I ever be............

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Mine has bloomed and budding out now to bloom again. Very few problems with this brug for you; bugs don' t eat it gone overnight.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Just went out with a flashlight and checked the leaves. They are smooth and serrated. Not deeply serrated like Whiskers but they are serrated. The leaves on Sunray are lighter green than any of my other Brugs and this is normal. They won't get dark green no matter what you give them.

I wonder if other gardeners prowl around their gardens with flashlights like brug people?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I lightened up your pic a little.

Cool. Thanks. :)

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Your are so helpful Kyle.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Snow. I could see a little serration, but don't trust myself anymore. She is pretty. The one I had looked light chartruse in color and I dumped it. Kyle, didn't know you were a whiz with the edit feature of the camera too. Cool........

By the way Snow, don't be going out after dark to look at the brugs. I'd feel horrible if you came face to face with one of those brown or black furry creatures that roam around up there. Hope they hibernate soon.

Poppysue, I have a few of the side shoots rooted if you need one.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Very Pretty! I don't have one.. I would like to have one.

(Zone 5a)

It is so lovely. Does it have a lemony smell?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

It has kinda of a lemony smell.....

Wow Liz, this is a great picture. I love it.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Very pretty Liz. What's the one behind it?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Wow Liz, those are gorgeous.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

poppysue - you've got me - is it pink? - Rosabelle maybe? - I can't tell on my monitor what color it is. If it's pink, Rosabelle. (Maybe) This is the brug deck - it started out as a holding area and became like a brug playpen.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Sure looks like the real thing to me Liz. The calyx and the flower looks the same as mine.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

snow - this is one that I'm fairly certain of. Notice how I don't ever say anything is for sure anymore? LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

LOL Liz. I know what you mean. To say this year has been confusing ID'ing Brugs is an understatement. Thank God for Monika and the ones that can give a positive ID.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

AMEN!!

(Zone 5a)

Liz it's lovely...OOOO

Looking good Liz.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)
