Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Dr D x Butterfly. this is a wonderfully soft pink, not the lightest I've had bloom, but surely the prettiest medium/light pink. it does open fully, but couldn't get a night shot, it was raining last night. The color goes at least halfway up the flower and this one smells fabulous, very strong.

TiG another beauty in the series...wow you have so many blooming now...your time is finally here for sure and such lovely blooms too!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Very nice, I bet your yard smells fabulous.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yard smells divine. will have JO x EP (Cala, is that going to be DR Seuss?) and Amber Rose opening tonight, thought for sure last night, but not yet. They have already given me the signal this morning that it will surely be tonight.

pretty color and tendrils! first bloom?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

TiG, I'm so jealous, my CG X EP aren't ready to bloom yet. It could be Dr Seuss, I think I have both labeled as CG, but the biggest number of pods was on CG.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yes, first bloom arlene. Cala, I know that the JO you sent me last fall is Dr Seuss, so want to write it down correctly. I should have 2 opening on it tonight.

(Zone 6a)

OK, tiG.....send me a couple of those too:) How can one person have soooooo many beautiful brugs! I am envious:)

Owen

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

She's such a pretty soft pink.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

owen, she isn't ready to cut on yet, and I'm probably going to dig her up and bring in for an alley tree. depending on what I still have yet to bloom. If I don't, I'll have cuttings, just too early to tell, I still have lots with first buds to come!

Lutz, FL(Zone 9b)

Ooh, that's a beauty. Love the color!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

tiG - have you had any white seedlings? Seems like they've all been great colors.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

another nice one! This is turning out to be a good series for you. I am an absolute sucker for anything with long tendrils.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

very pretty tig!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Love all those pinks, you have got a "gold mine", errr..."pink mine"????

Keep pics coming!

Lovely Tig, you've sure got some winners out of these crosses.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

WOW! another beauty u got there tiG :)! my wish list is getting longer LOL!!! and we thought Kell has a pepto garden! we seem to be trailing behind her LOL!

Hamilton, Canada

TiG,
Its my turn now for blooms!! I have one of Larry's seedlings about to open this evening. The edge of the petals looks like it will be peach. The calyx is only 3" long, but really fat. I had my son drag it into the house so I could take a picture when it opens fully. I can't wait!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I've only had one white seedling, but the second flower on it turned out completely cream. Eric done good:)
joydie, can't wait to see pictures.

Hamilton, Canada

TiG,
show us a pic of the creme colored one...I'll bet is pretty too.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's not. I had a picture of the very first flower, no recurve. I'd humor you :) but it's raining cats and dogs. I think it will be one that offers it's place in the garden to another seedling.

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Pretty. I like that color!

Hamilton, Canada

TiG no need to go out into the rain...lol. Another one of Larry's crosses is opening and only half of the flower is blushed pink just like it was cut in half down the middle of the corolla like a cross section... Will wait until the second set of blooms and if it doesn't improve its gone!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it might get more color in the morning. I wanted to take second day photos of this one! :( might have to brave the rain afterall.

Hamilton, Canada

TiG my first seedling of Eric's has 6 peaks and very ruffled. I'm keeping it just for this reason. It makes the suaveolens flowers pale in beauty by comparison. On its third day its still stark, pure white and heavenly scented!!

FSH, TX

I see the versicolor calyx was lost on this one. Very nice.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

did this one get named, tig?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

no and it will be culled. it's gorgeous at the stage pictured above, but nothing special when it's fully open.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Too bad it was a great color. :-)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i have one of eric's dr s X bf that hasn't bloomed yet, hopeful. gave the other away, gotta improve my culling skills.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

tig--another nice one. Love the soft color.

Montgomery, AL(Zone 8a)

tiG,
You can cull it my way. At this stage in my brug life there are no culls. Who knows, another cross may create something really special. Just put it aside with your other culls and I will pick them up in a month or so.

Larry

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

well Larry, the thing about culling (that I had trouble believing last year:) is to keep too many brugs that are close to others from being in trade. So a cull isn't passed along, it's done away with.
Cotton Candy was from the same cross but had a much better shape and close to the same color. I had about 6 from this cross to bloom and all were culled but one.
