I need this vine. That is absolutely gorgeous.Where did this come from? Did you get it as seed or and from where?

I found this plant while looking to replace my big amazon sunset plant that froze during this past winter. This was the closest I could find and purchased it at Orchard Supply. It is put out under the Ichidai nursery, inc. label and they only sell them mid spring. Takes full sun, but does much better in part shade and must always be kept damp (not wet). They will freeze so need to be covered when frost season starts. Iam in the process of trying to propagate but so far no luck. Have collected seeds and will try those in the greenhouse in a few weeks. Will report if I can get them going. My Amazon Sunset which looked almost the same (except color was red/orange) was over 12 feet wide and 7 feet tall. Just have a tiny one of that left that survived the winter. Thanks for your question busybee.

Dotty, when it comes out again at Orchard Supply, let me know and I will send you some money to buy me one and postage for shipping.
