this is pink I'm keeping

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's a medium pink, and as I know the parentage, (Isabella x Butterfly) I'm going to move out all my other medium pinks. That way anything I cross with it, I'll know the line as much as possible (considering no one knows what Isabella is except heavy blooming, fast grower)
If I'm gonna keep it, I'm naming it so there is no confusion with this one. This is the 3rd flush, name is now Cotton Candy.

thanks guys, it's Erics, I just got the fun of seeing it first. but it's a great grower and the blooms have a nice shape all day. There may be another medium pink come along, but for breeding, this is the one.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Very nice soft pink. I like the color a lot. Isn't it amazing how many different looks we have gotten from the Isabella X Butterfly seeds.............enjoy your pretty baby.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

So if I grow the isabella x butterfly seeds I could get something diff.? tiG, it is pretty.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

every seedling is different Diane. this and Remembrance are the only ones I have that's bloomed from that cross.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

tiG those flowers are absolutely lovely! Like the name too. :)

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

I think its time we made a list of named plants and hybrids here so we don't take each others names. :-) And yes I love the name very original..you didn't even mention pink in the name!!LOL

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Eclipse has a good idea there. Can't we store these on that website Tonny started? And how about one rule. You can not pick a name until you have a plant to attach the name to.
BTW Tig...I started this to tell you how beautiful your new baby is.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

I thought it resembled Remembrence a lot - no wonder - they are sisters !!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

actually I don't think it looked like Remembrance at all, but seeing in person is different than pictures too:)
I love the idea of setting up a list of names, but we have that here in the database. I'm entering this one and any other ID'ed brugs I have pictures of. we all need to do this, and then it's in alphabetical order too. Even if all we have is a name, someone else can come enter the info. So get busy!! we have a lot to enter I think. and it really helps if we put any info we know, like the cross or hybridizer in the notes at the bottom

tiG -- (question from a novice) -- Are you growing these outdoors, planted in the ground? Or are they in containers that you lug in when winter comes?

How I'd love to have brugmansias that would tolerate a 7b winter!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

both. if they are established, you might lose a very small percentage of them. I left two out in pots last winter and they are both blooming right now. but I doubt they would have time to get established this late, I stopped planting in the ground early August I think. and I have tons I bring in. I can set you up with all the cuttings you need, but you really ought to come one weekend, and see them! if not, I'll be posting lots of cuttings when we get near frost

Hamilton, Canada

TiG I love the name Cotton Candy. The flower is very pretty...good work both TiG and Eric!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

You have two pretty pinks . . Rememberance and Cotton Candy. The names are perfect for both of them. Can't wait to see some of their babies next year! I know you will have some very pretty ones.
