I really love this little groundcover. It always comes back for me each year.

Hi Roz,

I would never have thought of using it as a ground cover. Very pretty that way. We call it Tihitian Bridal Veil here. Do you have to take cuttings or does the plant survive in your zone? I think I'll start some cuttings for next year. Every year I just buy a new basket, but it looks like I might need more, now that I've seen what you do with it. Can anyone tell me the best way to start cuttings?

Brugie, these things are just super super easy to root. I just break some off and stick in dirt, right in the ground, and water well and it takes. Probably you could just use water. What do you think, Suzie? Gloria?

Roz,
I'll give it a try...rooting in water.

When I get squared away here, I'm going to give it a shot. Have always just thrown the plant away.

S,
Me too. I normally take a nice size hunk and stick it in the sand box so I can start a new plant....then I throw away the rest of the plant.

Doesn't it kill you to have to throw stuff away though. I'd love to have a good sized greenhouse that I could heat through our winter so I could do all my own stuff. Of course, the house would never be clean, laundry done, etc. I'd be a slave to my flowers even more. :-)

Know what you mean, Brugie; the house just has to wait when I am in the greenhouse. Any time I go to Glory's, it is a hot dog nite, cause I work in the greenhouse til it is dark. My oldest son is putting a light in there for me; I may never come back to the house again!
