Wow Cala! Is that as dark pink as it looks?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yes, it's the darkest pink from all her seedlings. I bet she would like a start of this one, don't you?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I know she would just love one.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Oh CC - Tig gave me a cutting of one of your pinks - I hope it looks like this someday, so far no Y's or buds.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's one parent of these seeds.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Oh goody - maybe next year I can see it!!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Cala . . . I bet you are doing the happy dance. After all those whites - - a beautiful pink. I know CC will be proud of this one.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I just love the dark pinks! So who are the parents?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

The parents are a white suavenolens and unknown pink, which has been identified as anything from frosty to Isabella.

The mom is the pink, must have good genes what ever it is!

the mom is the one I posted the red brug picture I took at night, the lower picture is the one with the flash.

I have to cut the mom way back,so if anyone wants cuttings from her to use for breeding ,her genes seem to have strong pinks

And yes,I would love of cutting from this one.

Has anyone elses seedlings bloomed from those seeds?

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

I don't know what I am doing wrong with mine every time they get going good I end up with mites and all the leaves fall off I have six of them going good except they seem very pron to mites its got me baffeled??

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Irish, the best thing I've found to run the mites off is spray the undersides of the leaves with water at least once a day. If it's the cyclamen mites(which are really bad this year) you will need to use a miticide every 5-7 days for 3 weeks. This will break their live cycle. An IGR will help too, something like Neem since it keeps them from molting and moving to the next stage in their life cycle.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

CC - Can I have a piece of your Momma? She has put out some awesome babies.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Poppysue, that sounds so funny!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Cala, can you snag an open pic for us??

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

CC I am so tempted but to knowingly and willingly to ask for another Frosty, I would have to be mad!! Lol. How dark is the Mother?

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

CC - have seedlings but it will be awhile. Will give us something to look forward to next year.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Karyn,

You have had some of the best lookin' kids I've seen in a long time. You should be proud of this one. Really pretty color. I'd like to see a picture of this one when it has a bunch of blooms.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Wow! What color! This one is beautiful!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Cala..I wanna see a pic of it open up! Get the flash ready!!LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Here it is fully open. It was morning and couldn't get out of the sun. It has been raining ever since and I tried to get a better pic(even came face to face with a big brown spider)just couldn't get one. It's not as peachy as it looks, more pink.

CC, yes, the color goes way up the corolla. I have some of your other seedlings plus FP and Isabella blooming right now and it's definitely darker.
