Tim told me what pollen to use. Hes a good teacher.

Most often pollen from P. incarnata and P. caerulea will do the job for subgenus Passiflora.

You should wait til the afternoon for the pollen to ripen. Some of the early flowering ones, P. foetida, P. morifolia, etc will pollinate themselves and flowers already closed before noon. I believe Vanderplank stated that a flower should not get wet for at least an hour after pollination or else you have just wasted your time.

Tim, I remembered reading that, so I try to be careful if I have to water before an hour is up. The foetidas do self pollinate, except f. Hirsuta doesn't. The flowers close early unless it's really cool and cloudy, then they stay open longer.
