Cypress Gardens

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

My first bloom hung down in the dirt and got chewed to shreds by the slugs. This one is looking MUCH better. I put JeanPasko pollen on her

poppysue, i hope you didn't get this from me and i said it was cypress gardens and it was versicolor alba? i am so bad, but i do take comfort that i am not alone! it's very pretty.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

This one is from Glory. You sent me a versi alba last fall but I killed it. Are they both similar too?

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i'm sure i have a cypress gardens here somewhere, i hope, i had my versicolor alba marked cypress gardens! cypress gardens is supposed to turn peachy/ginger or something. v alba turned peach on me slightly when it went into the 60s at night, otherwise stays white. it is a beautiful bloom, with nice tendrils, recurve, wavy petals.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Lol Arlene. I looke it up on my list ... and it did come from you! You must have sent both on the same box. Sooo - this would be CpsG?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Uh oh, I think mine stays white.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i'm not an expert, but the shape looks like my versi alba, and it is beautiful!! i wish i had kept better records of what i sent to whom. i seem to remember where i have gotten all my brugs. yes, this came up this summer, i realized it. cala, don't you like it though?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Arlene, I love it.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

when tig was here she thought it had the prettiest shape. it's been pretty good at repeat blooming too. eclipse told me they will go peach sometimes with cooler weather, this one did when the blooms were almost gone, but otherwise has stayed white.

I'll have see what color it changed to. Our nights have been cool.

Poppysue, This is the v. Alba that Arlene sent me last year. Does it look the same as yours. If I remember right it's bloom was over 20in. long.

Wow Snow, that's pretty too.

The tendrils on mine look like they curl up more than yours. I'll have to measure it tomorrow. It's long but I'm not sure it's 20 inches.

It is a beautiful flower and my very favorite white so far. The corolla tube is very long on this.

Love versi's!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

poppysue, did the color change?

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm starting to see just a little bit of color along the veins. It's stayed nice & white for a long time now. I haven't measured it. I keep forgeting to take a ruler out with me.
