lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

The first time this bloomed it looked yellow but this blooming it has taken more of an orange coloring. It was pretty before now it is really pretty.

Jim, it's very pretty. are the leaves serrated?? if so, Dr Seuss. if not, Charles Grimaldi is the correct name for JO.

What about Solid Gold - is that in the CG-JO-DS group too or that one different?

Btw - beautiful picture Jim. Mine hasn't bloomed yet ....

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

it is pretty jim. poppysue, eric told me that to tell the difference in dr suess and solid gold you would have to have the plants side by side in the same state of bloom. don't know the difference in the genes.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Poppysue - I have solid gold and dr suess and the only difference I can see is that solid gold has a little smaller bloom, but other than that they look the same to me but then I haven't been growing them long.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

solid gold flowers are smaller. at least here in the fall:)

This sure is a pretty one. Looks like tiG might be on to something here. Those leaves look like Suess leaves. Suess is a favorite yellow of mine. Such a strong fragrance.

My solid gold is not as strong as dr suess, has a light fragrance. Showing off the new birthday camera. This was taken last night.

Way to go Dee. Did a good job with the picture. Is this one Suess? Leaves make me think it is.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

No Shirley, this one is Solid Gold. See what I mean, almost the same.

I've never had a solid gold. Didn't know it had the serrated leaves. How do you like the new camera? Once I figured out how to use mine with the new puter, it isn't so bad. I'm sure getting tired of reading directions.
