Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good morning farmers. Yesterday was a big exciting day here. We got a well drilled and got 50 gallons a minute at 75 ft. we had prayed that God would give us lots of water and that we wouldn't have to go really deep and expensive. Hubby said he would be tickled with 100 ft, I said 50, God said 75! The driller said that is the shallowest good well he has drilled in this area. This also means that we can go ahead with the pump, pipes and get it hooked up and in operation this year. We are very thankfull for the shallow depth. The first thing hubby did this morning was look out the window at it to make sure it wasn't just a dream. I'll be leaving for an endurance ride today, this is the closest one to our place, about 100 miles away. Bullwinkle the Saddlebred gets the job this week. Yesterday I rode Breezy for an hour or so, it was a beautiful day and I am really enjoying the wildflowers in bloom. No cacti blooming yet. I need to get a picture of them to send to Michelle to see if she knows what kind they are. Hope all of you have a great weekend. Count your blessings.
