Since I don't have a good brug photo lol
Triple Daturas
I love these! I killed all of mine........so I appreciate this picture!!
Windsurfer, would you have any seeds of the purple? That one is gorgeous.
Kell I am glad you enjoyed it.
Anna_Z no I don't yet, these are the slowest to develope mature seeds plus I got a late start because of the flooding, stray cat's and the squirrels digging the the pots and burying their nuts.
Oh WS...Your pic is gorgeous! The Daturas are one of my favorite plants to grow. So reliable and prolific in blossoms and seeds. They're so easy to grow asking very little but giving so very much. I'll bet you'll have equally lovely photos of your Brug blossoms when they arrive on the scene. Again...a great pic....and thanks for sharing it.
...... Renee
Windsurffer, what a great photo. I really like the two complementary colors and of course, that these are the metels, when they are best. I am happy, that you finally got to see flowers after all the trouble you went through. Do you have a GH where the pods can mature?
Kell, I thought, tht I could run off with the price of "The metel killer of the year". *LOL* Mine is still living, but look awful. We haven`t got more than a few millimeters of rain all summer. We even has to dig up the carrots the day before we use them and put in water to give them a bit substance and that`s dryer than heck. *LOL* I knew it was dry down here, but not, that it was a desert. :)
Thanks Renee, I have a yard full of these plants, and next year I am going to have a special place for them.
Thanks Tonny last year was my first time growing these beautiful plants and I only had one plant, I fell in love with them and now have six triple purple, three small white, three large white and one triple yellow, one triple white, and two apple thorn datura.
WS....Am unsure just what the apple thorn Dats look like but, I just harvested seed from one of mine that has solid light lavender blossoms. It is not a double. It blooms all summer and is, of coarse, easy care. Interested in some seeds? email me.
