A close-up of the trellis
Passiflora incarnata
Those grow wild here, didnt realize how pretty they were till I went to collect some pollen(was too late, the bees beat me to it)
Cala, these grow wild here too. This one was originally collected in southern Ohio, just north of the Ohio River. Cuttings were brought north and have been surviving in northeast Ohio, zone 5 for more than 10 years. I may have problems with the one on the trellis - I just planted it in July and it's sending up root suckers all over the place! The carpenter bees seem to be the most frequent pollinator here.
Dawn, they are here too. We have a neighbor with honey bees and they are on them too.
