please don't scream at me:) it's just that I haven't had anything to take pictures of til lately!!
pink/reds are the hardest color for a cheap camera. I've been taking pictures trying the get the true color that I see with my eye. The color goes up as far as the color does on Butterfly. It's as deep a color as Bfly, but the hue ? is more a watermelon red than pink. The corolla is 6 1/2" long closed, didn't measure width when open.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I hope it will be blooming when you come.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I love this one. The color is just great.

This is gorgeous Tig. Keep on posting those pictures. It's your turn.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Me too - Snap-Snap, Lol!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

seems I'm going to have to watch Ms. Azalea!!!! nothing to snap yet, except blooms.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

That really is a beauty!

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Just teasing- you know I wouldn't touch it without your permission!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

just teasing back!!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

tiG - you should try a night picture after the flower opens up wide. They come out pretty good with the flash. I make DH come out with me and hold a flashlight on the bloom while I get the camera focused. Then he moves it away before I snap the picture.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I'll try that with the next one, I don't know if this one will fully open again or not.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

I bet it does! It doesn't look like it's tired yet :) Is it still hot down there?

(Zone 6a)

OK, tiG.....I love watermelon:)

Owen

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's hot as blue blazes poppy!! and very humid. but the nights are cooler, and that's helping the brugs a bunch!
glad you like it owen! package going out tomorrow if at all possible.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Really GOOD picture, beautiful brug!!! Can I please get one of those?? Is this a seedling???

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it is a seedling Gloria, this is the first bloom. But I won't have cuttings of it, maybe in the spring. it looks really tall, it's next to Butterfly, I was trying to get them next to each other for comparison. it's only 4 ft tall.

tiG . . it is truly a beautiful color and I can see why you are so proud of it. I am sure that is even prettier in person. Enjoy your pictures.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Love the color. It's a real beauty.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

if you ever decide to get some cuttings, can i make the list? i think i like that one almost as much as the red one i saw on monika's site...is it really that dark pink, almost hot pink! its really awesome.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's really that dark. meiyu I won't be taking cuttings until at least spring, sorry. it's only 4 ft tall. and it's got buds on every branch! Eric did a good job on this one.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

this flower is unbelievably fragrant. when I brought it inside last night for that open picture, I got a headache it was so strong. I'm going to be asking for name help once I see the second flower (soon)

The color looks different now. It is more pink on my monitor. Is this correct? The first picture still looks watermelon color.

I love this new feature. We can show the progress of one brug on one thread and not have to keep jumping back and forth. Way cool feature and a big plus here at Daves. I just checked a members threads, and that isn't working right so I reported it. He sure did do a lot last night though.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's still watermelon, and does darken in the middle of the day. like I said, it's so hard to get the correct color with this cheap camera. up next to butterfly, the color has more coral/red hues than Butterfly. will try moving her one more time, it's cooler today and she's still open. will be back:)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you know how dark Butterfly is. the sunlight plays a big part in this picture, and there's nothing I can do about that. so both pictures are lighter here than in person, but ek3 is darker, especially around the rim. put ek3 in a chair to get them close. the sun washed out the top of the Bfly (left) but you can still see the inside where it didn't. same angle, same light, no shadows

Ain't this fun!! To get all these extra pictures in one thread. Way to go....

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I love it. I do hope the threads don't get filled with just junk pictures, but love being able to update on a particular plant, or if someone asks a question in a thread, being able to show what you mean.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Oh - this is great!!

Nice pictures tiG.
