Pinks that fell in the storm

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

These were knocked off in the storm. I didn't even know Rosa Uberashung had a flower ready to open. These are from left to right: Rosamond/Pink Beauty, Rosa Uberashung, L'Amour. Pink Beauty/Rosamond fell over on Harenhauser Garten and broke half of it's "Y" out. PB/R lost about a dozen blooms, L'Amour lost a few and RU lost just that one.

Cala, how sad for you. Are the rest ok? I lost both pods on x knightii x EP in a windstorm today but the flowers hung on somehow.

oh Cala, how awful!!!

Ouch, so sad. You guys down south have had some tough winds lately. Jeanne, we are just lucky we didn't have the storm that JT had to endure. All that has happened here lately is that my potted Black Velvet taro went over yesterday, twice. Finally got smart and moved it.

Lost a lot of teeny seed pods from Candida Flore Plena, Ecuador Pink and a few from Enchanted double white. I think the weight of the faded flowers was just too much.

gosh sounds like the revenge of the plain whites!! Terrible!

Hope you have lots of other more mature seed pods on those plants.

Unfortunately these were the new ones. I pollinated some more today.

So sad - glad you have more. We were lucky no damage in my yard. The weather man just said we would ned 3 more Hannahs to come up to the proper water level, we are still 8 in below normal, we were over 11 inches Friday.

Why is it never the Frosty's and the suaveolens whites and the unknowns that go down like a house of cards?

Cala sorry to hear about all of your buds and flowers. Put the flowers in a glass bowel to float on water and enjoy the fragrance in the house.
