Glory,
That is the kind I have. I love them and they grow and propagate really easy. I don't have much luck with many things but this one is easy!
BTW, 3 of your Brugs you sent me are blooming and look great! Mr. Roberts is still just sitting there. Maybe he has a surprise for us down the road?

That is cool. Looks a lot like Tacoma Stans. I like it a lot too. Will this one set seeds and how tall will it get? Looks almost like it could be worked into a tropical bed in the front border. Very pretty.

Glory, your pond is pretty and that's a nice bright color. Perfect for fall.

Glory, your pond just looks great! Flower ain't bad either.

S,
All I know about this Cassia is it kind of drapey...new word in the English language. It is very pretty and blooms when most everthing else is just about finished except the Brugs. Would you like some cuttings in the fall...which is late Oct. or early November here?

Weeds,
Don't you just love this plant? It's really pretty when there is a large clump of it growing.

Thanks all....I'm still working on the back yard....I don't think I will ever get finished.

Glory, does it produce seed? I'd love either seed or a few cuttings. I've never tried to start the cuttings, but would give it a try. I just think this would work in great with the tropical theme in anyone's garden. Thanks a bunch.

golly, jeepers, glory...you have my dream garden!!!

Hamilton, Canada

Glory your garden is just stunning. What a fabulous pond you have there, waterfall and all. I have a cassia also, but its described as an herb. It has the strangest seed pods that look like the pods on sweet peas. I'll have tons of seeds from just a single plant.

It is difficult to find fall flower plants and this one does put out a nice display.

oh, goodie!! i didn't know cassias flowered in the fall!! my friend, jim gave me one for my birthday, and it is just now getting flower buds, i'm glad to know i can enjoy them for longer than i thought!!

Glory, I was going through old threads I'd been watching before, and ran across this one...I lost my cassia this winter when Peter dug it up to move it to the backyard (it got tooooooo big!!) then forgot about it all winter (never put it in a pot!). Before I lost it, I found out it was really, really easy to root...do you think I could send you an SASE for a couple of small hardwood pieces??? Or give you something of mine in trade...either/or??? Or I could pick it up on my way to/from West Palm Beach in July...hehehe...I'll be bringing my scissors!!! By the way, I still am in awe over your pond...mine's sooo boring!!

Meiyu,
You know I don't even know if mine came back but I do know my Mom's did let me check and if she has any I'll send you some cuttings for postage. I'll get back with you in a day or two.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Glory!

Meiyu,
Sorry to have to tell you but right now there is no cuttings of this cassia ... if you can wait till fall I know I can find some then. My Moms is coming back from the ground but it to soon to cut on it.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Waco, TX(Zone 8b)

Hi Glory, could it be "Cassia Bicapsularis" which is a fall and winter bloomer or do you know? Either way it make for a beautiful picture.

Clayton,
That's it...Thanks.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

ooohhh...fall and winter bloomer????? i'm definitely gonna have to keep reminding you, glory!!!!!

Waco, TX(Zone 8b)

Meiyu, If you can email me your address I have about six seeds left that I did not plant.I believe all the ones I planted have come up now. All you need to do is score or scratch up the seeds then pour boiling water over them and let them soak until they swell up, if they don't, then scratch them up some more and put them back in the water. You may have to repeat some seeds a couple of times but it will work.

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

clayton, you have mail!!!

meiyu,
Keep me updated on your cassia....if you need them form me just let me know .

san antonio, TX(Zone 8a)
