Hanna trashing Becca Lynn

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

This was about halfway through the storm. The rest of the blooms will be off by afternoon. On the other hand we have received plenty of very much needed rain and Becca will bloom a couple of more times before first frost.

oh I don't want that part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Aw JT, that is so sad...but if you need the rain, like we do, then you gotta' take the good with the bad.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I am so sorry............what a terrible sight!

I am sorry to hear, that the last flowers will probaly be gone by now. Any broken branches? I hope the plant made it through the storm and the rain was plenty to give BL the strenght to bloom for you soon again.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

JT, so sorry it blew all your blooms away, hope you didn't get flooded out.

We got some pretty good wind last night, blew Pink Beauty/Rosamond over again. I put it in a 25 gal. pot with pea gravel in the bottom!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Cala,we are on a hill so are never in danger of flooding. We did have high winds and a lot of much needed rain. Some of the potted brugs blew over but weren't damaged. The little white seedling lost a limb and PB/Rosamond/whatever split
but I think the larger half will be ok.Some of the promised cuttings are going out sooner than I thought. The leaves on that one are big and act like a sail.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Boy you guys,I fell so bad for you!(I am serious)

Thank goodness we don't get winds and storms like that ...usually

But getting 3 feet of snow in a day is something you'll never see......and wished I'd never see.

Hope everyone makes out ok!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

JT, i guess rest of the flowers blew off? that is one great brug isn't it!

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

JT,
The storm was worth it, wasn't it? To get the rain we needed?
That is a nice looking plant! Post an after picture please.

JT and Weeds,
We were on the west side of Hanna so y'all got the wind and rain.....we are only 60 miles west of Mobile. We did manage to get 1 inch of rain in 24 hours out of that storm.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

To bad you had to have the wind to get the rain, but sometimes it happens. WE are having some wind this evening and it blew over by big potted Black Velvet taro. I think everything else is tied down. At least everyone is safe down there. That is what is most important. Brugs will grow back.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Glory, I was thinking of you, Roz and Marie. You were on the easy side. Most of the time in these storms that is the place to be!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Arlene, yes all but about 6 flowers are off but it's no big deal with BL.She will have another flush in a couple of weeks. That flower blooms more than any other that I have, even Dr S. and the fragrance is out of this world.
For Weeds and Gloria the storm was worth it just to get the rain.

Paxton, FL(Zone 8a)

Unfortunately, we didn't get very much rain and we were on the east side. I think Panama and Pensacola got more than we did and we're in the middle. But what we got was badly needed. Just need more. JT, was down that way Sunday, but moving the kids, so didn't have time to see about a visit. One day I'm going to though. Whoever game me that frosty pink in March (JT?), it has grown unbelievably and has bloomed beautifully! Most of the others I got at the FL swap have grown considerably, and another one is about to bloom. I appreciate them all.
