anticipation

This could be the only picture I get this week of Pink Beauty! we're expecting 10-20 mph winds, and I'm really hoping for the best. But would you look at these tendrils??????? I can't wait!

Hey,I think I see a very dark pink in there.

TiG maybe you can protect the bloom somehow by placing a sheet over it or something...would be nice if it stayed on long enough to pollinate it.

I don't know if anything can prevent the wind from snapping it if it gets strong enough. I know not to push DH into moving, getting him to bring this one in will be a big enough job :) I'm trying to look at bright side, even if it snaps, perhaps the bloom will fall where I can put it in water and still see it bloom:)

tiG is this one normally a slow bloomer? hope the winds behave themselves:)

I lost all the early buds to worms. This bud has grown very fast, but we've had cool nights. Tree grew fairly fast, but it's in a 25 gallon pot.

tiG, are you able to move the pot? You have gone through both worms and anything to see this one flower and now comes the wind.

Tonny, it's huge! and in a bad place to try and move until time to come in. I'm just holding my breath. want the rain real bad, but hoping we don't get the winds.

TiG, if the winds are too bac, lay it down. Just turn the pot on it's side, lay the top gently on the ground and put something under the stem to support it. Pink Beauty blew over last evening in the wind, left it down all night, survived much better than Insignis Gold, which broke in half.
