I tried to control myself, and just put it in the database. but I can't. This thing is gorgeous!!! Spring Peach. Arlene, I don't know if it was this dark in the spring/summer? I have it in just the right place, right beside the steps to the driveway!!!
gotta post it
BEAUTIFUL!!! Does it have a smell?
yes, not the strongest I've ever smelled, but I have 11 brugs in bloom, some pretty close, and butterfly ginger, and my yard smelled like heaven!
tiG,
It is such a large flower....this is a sure keeper....mine has bloomed off and on this summer.

Absolutly great!
Arlene is this your creation!I'm afraid I'll have to wait until next year to see mine bloom.

Hahaha Arlene! Dontcha hate it when your plants look better in someone elses garden! Seems to be the story of my life lately :)
poppysue, yes!!! i'm wondering if i told her the wrong name!!!! see my link i just added in!!
I'd say there was a big change took place if those are the same!!
For the better!!
I like them both, but do like the darker color best. Any chance it could be versi. orange?
that's what you had it marked as arlene.
tiG, She sure is a beauty.
arlene, did you see the picture I posted yesterday? it was much lighter.
arlene, look at the color seeping up the flower into the calyx in yours. mine does that too, just darker.
difference in soil and weather?? I know for sure you told me this was spring peach, have the tag I wrote in your yard.

tig, i think i did. i don't have a lot of brain cells working. there was a wreck on I75, irish and delisa were stuck in trafic down there. Stacy called on the road so we warned her to get off 75. i think i was outside all day, and sat down for about 5 minutes! it was cloudy, sprinkled a couple ot times, but no real rain. i had a great time and hope everyone else did.
you think you did what? I thought about y'all all day, pictures coming, I'm sure????
okay, asking a stupid question cause I'm old, don't have the book and can't remember. versicolors start white then change? this didn't, started in color. doesn't match versi orange pictures either.
Well, it sure is a pretty color. Hope it continues to bloom just like this.
arlene, look at my first day bloom http://davesgarden.com/showforumphoto.php?imageid=18480
oh tiG, that is soooo beautiful! love the form and color too!!!
Yep - she did grab this one in a hurry!! I think Arlene listed this one when we first talked about going & Tig took dibs on it!! Remember they we all blooming when we were raiding Arlene's yard!! That's ok - I know where you live Tig, and will be coming to raid you when you give the word!!
:) anytime next week would be great PJ, lots blooming!!!
