Irish, I have a Whiskers X ? from Jeanne and it bloomed today. It is tall and has one bloom open also and is white.

calalily.... you got it...its a mandevilla. last year when a storm took down my arbors I couldn't decide what to do with them so I just let it grow up wiskers for the time being. soon whiskers will be in full bloom with all it beathful yellow flowers and with a few white ones from the mandevilla.

I think Whiskers is a great candidate for being an arbor!! it's so tall, that something growing up the trunk that won't hurt it would be gorgeous.

Irish, I did that last year too. Now I've got vines in all my brug pots. I did make a few mistakes, the passifloras are sometimes to agressive for the brugs. I have an Edulus in a Charles Grimaldi pot, can't see CG, and have to be sure they don't get into other varieties or I'll never get them apart and into the greenhouse this winter!! I have a pink mandevilla growing in Frosty Pink and it's a good combo. I bet it will look good together with Whiskers blooms.
