Variegated Hosta to trade

Woodbourne, NY(Zone 5a)

I've already done lots of thinning, transplanting and giving away, but I just took out yet another giant wheel of variegated hosta that could be broken up for a few trades. It is a very strong and striking plant. I also have some Japanese iris seeds and a few other things to trade: http://davesgarden.com/tl/Paris

I'm making a huge flower garden and could use anything that will bloom soon and long! -- seeds, plants, vines, bulbs, whatever.

I'm also putting in a vegetable garden, so vegetables and herbs are also welcome.

I would especially like some torenia, snapdragon, osteospermum, burgundy madness or California petunias, moonflowers (with tips on getting them to germinate!), forget-me-not starts, lemon balm starts, coleus starts, lupine transplants or day-neutral strawberries.

PS: I'd also love to get some Amazon lilies and night-blooming cereus. I had quite a few once, but lost them in a move.

Paris,

Would you be interested in some heirloom tomatoes plants I started from seed in exchange for your hosta? I started WAY too many! They are ready to go in the ground this weekend. They are currently in either 3" or 4" pots.
I will send them potted as they are. (Next Monday or Tuesday, so you will receive them during the week!)

I can also give you some Moonflower and Torenia seed--

Let me know--
Theresa

OH, almost forgot here's the varieties you can choose from.
Rutgers
Watermelon Beefsteak
Amish Paste
Big Rainbow
Cherokee Purple
Sub-Arctic
Cherry--Large Red Unknown name These were grown by my Grandpa for over 40 years. Found the seed in the basement when we moved into the house. It had to be at least 10 years old. I had 80% germination!!!!!
or
4th of July (hybrid)

Do you think 2 or 3 and the seeds would be a fair trade for a nice large clump of the Hosta?

No, Karma, sorry. It's hosta. I wish I had something that could make you so happy, though. Please let me know if that is anything else in my list that could inspire you to share your Cereus. I sure miss mine.

Paris... Sent you an email, but forgot to add a tip about starting moonflowers. I wait until the soil is pretty warm, nick the seed, soak overnight, and plant. I've also had some success with starting inside and transplanting. Your query made me remember I haven't put any out yet, Thanks!
