It can have serrated leaves on new growth but then it turns to smooth. It was bought labeled CG and for once did not bloom pink! These are very common in California probably because they were created here and are great brugs.
my CG, you tell me!
Kell~
Wow that much orange would love to get me cutting, that is so beautiful.
The bottom flowers so pretty too.

u mean the cutting u shared with me will grow to be like that? WOW! very nice. btw... the cutting is now 1' tall and growing nicely :)!
Sure looks like a CG to me. But if they're on every street corner where you live, you should know.
This is probably the 3rd heavy flush this summer and I bought this as a 3 stem plant probably in April. I cut 2 off and let the straightest one take over. My only claim to fame this summer............
Okay......question: I thought that someone said that once CG started blooming, it bloomed nearly all the time? Have you had bloom on yours all the time since it first bloomed, or just three flushes? I want a brug that will have bloom all the time like my Isabella X Butterfly. Two months now with bloom every single day but three.
wow, kell, that is absolutely gorgeous!!! where do you have this planted? gosh, when we go to california again, i sure hope you will let me come visit your garden...i have never seen so many beautiful plants before!!! is there somewhere you have pics of the whole yard?
WOW so Beautiful! I dont have one in my brug collecting.. I must add it to my want list!
LOL Actually my yard is ugly and not worth seeing........... sad but true!!! But you will love California! Esp, SO Cal.............tropical heaven plants!!
Hi Brugie............ my CG always has buds on it. When it is in full flush it has tons of little buds on it. In between big flushes, there will be a few flowers open just about all the time. However, a friend of mine has a huge one planted in the ground that I see everyday from which I have cuttings. It is in constant big bloom but not seem to have flushes like mine. Mine is pot bound now. Is drying out daily. Try it Brugie, I donot think you will be disappointed. It is a very nice brug.
I will start some extra ones.

Kell,
This is so pretty. I need to clean off all the lower leaves so my Jutner's will look more like a tree.
Kell,
You have done well my dear!!!
WOW Kell! That is absolutely gorgeous! My mom lives is CA. She can grow anything out there year round, but she doesn't grow Brugs.
P.S. Sent you email.

kell, i just realized that even after stupidly cutting back my brugs because i wanted some of the other plants to catch up in height, and not knowing anything about that y thingy, they have a ton of microscopic buds on them!!!! yippie!!! i may see more blossoms much sooner than i thought possible!!! hopefully i will finally have a picture with flowers (though nothing like yours or the 200+ flowers!!), and i can prove i really do have some brugs...hahaha!! how long will it take? i can't remember, it's been so long!!!!
kell..thats CG.........now run outside and cut me off a big branch and send it to me........LOL
I love this plant..the plant I posted a pic of is in Balboa park in san Diego.Huge plant and huge flowers.
:-)
You grew this gorgeous plant and you killed poor little mg's!
I love it!
Kell, it's beautiful. My CG/Dr. Seuss brugs in the Jungle House bloom all the time, never without blooms.
gosh, i just can't wait for the day when i'll know what y'all are talking about with the brug names and all. i only know pink and yellow, the two that i have...
kell, You've got a beautiful plant there. So many blooms.
