Yes Liz they are real and very much alive. the scientist @ Hebrew University in Rehovot. Israel has been experimenting on them. if u try to read the 2nd link, it explains it all. i learned about it watching the ABC news.

I'm coming back here late, and afraid to say anything. I hear that there is a huge pink, naked chicken lobby. Being an out of towner - I'm neutral on free trade. But just let me say this about that - no naked hot pink chickens in every pot.

CC the 2nd link i posted claimed the naked chicken is far more leaner and healthier to eat??? it is still under researched so we never know if it is true :).
