No jungle house, just brug jungle

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This is my flower bed from the back side. It is a real jungle this year. Things just got out of control.

Shirley, It's a beautiful garden. You've got some really nice plants there.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I love it!! Fantastic!! Don't you cut off your canna spent blooms so that they rebud?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, I can't reach them. They have been blooming all along anyway.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

gosh they must be so tall!!! I just love your garden Brugie!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

And to think that I agonized over you losing everything to rot! It's gorgeous!
And Kell, you're a 9'B'? - I was green with envy when I thought you were only (only-hah!) a 9.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Miss Lizzy, I thought you were talking about my shoe size! I thought you were getting too personal at least on an open thread! Yes, I carefully checked it all out about a week ago.

Then I'm totally sick with envy! THIS is why your sangs are ruddy redwoods!. You have the cool ocean breeze and the constant temps. If Monika won't adopt me, will you?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I would Liz, but believe me your standard of living would come crashing down!!! Why don't you buy here, I will tell you where and then I will move in with you?? I need an upgrade.

tiG, if you are talking about the one with the yellow lilies in it, this would be the back side. The whole flower bed didn't turn out like I wanted it to. Just got totally out of control. I'm in the process of digging out the lilies now. That is a job. I've got to take my truck in for service work this morning, but will try to get a picture later today.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Can you tell us which canna is blooming in middle of pic? Thanks

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

WOW!! Just Beautiful! You should feel very proud of your gardens and plants.

Looks wonderful Shirley. Very impressive. All your hard work has paid off.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hibiscus, the canna in the middle was supposed to be red King Humbert, but Kyle says it isn't. I got it at Brent and Becky's Bulbs and thought I would get what I ordered.

Thanks for all the compliments, but I have to say that I haven't put much work into this since it went nuts and grew so big. I'm not happy with it. Too crowded and it got so thick that I can't see through to the brug garden. I tried to take a picture of the front side this morning, but it looks horrible. Then when the snake slithered in front of me, I went to the house. So, when I put the pictures in the computer, I'll see if anything is worth posting.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Its gorgeous, kinda reminds me of my garden ...with out the blooms...LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Brugie, the snakes must think they are in 7th heaven in your tropical world you have created for them in Iowa!! They will have a rude awakening this winter when your garden is but a memory and the snow is knee deep!
