Well, here it is, another danged white brug!! It's got 2 blooms and still one bud to open. It's about 7 or 8 feet tall. I don't think I'll make any space to bring it in.
Mr Robert for Glory
I'm not Glory, but I like it. I love any that have long tendrils. It looks a little ruffled, is it?
It's a little ruffled, small flower, thin substance.
Is it another CG cross?
It came from LBJ. Vicki named it.
I like it. Looks petite. How is the fragrance of it?
I couldn't reach up that far, and when there are 200+ brug blooms within a 20 ft circle, it's hard to tell, lol. They must know winter is around the corner and are really putting on a show. I think this one bloomed because I threatened to pull it up!!
well, I think you're the first person to ever get it to bloom. I composted mine long ago.
Bonnie, did you ever get the Insignis Rosea to bloom? Mine has buds, at first they kept falling off. Now they are just beginning to show the corolla so I'm hoping I'll see something in a couple of days. Looks like it will be a small bloom.
well, one of them turned out to be white. at least that flush, will know later. Don't know what happened to the other, I may have sent the whole plant out. I may have to get a piece back one day!
OK - mine is yellow. From what I understand she packaged seeds and named them after her father. Nice thought but there is no way that mine and yours came from the same cross. Mine is a larger bloom, looks like (have to check the leaves) either CG or Seuss. I have a feeling that Sir Robert might have been a grab bag of seeds and they are all different.
Ack!! This one came as a cutting from either Glory or TiG.
I had it, sent out a cutting or two
I'll post a picture tomorrow. :~((( grrrr.
OK - I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Mine is Sir Robert - is yours Sir Robert or Mr Robert? Don't tell me - I think I know the answer.
Sir/Mr. We don't have Sirs here, lol.
So she sold all her cross seeds?? Gee can we all do that?? LOL 1 name fit all?
LOL....all I know is my Roberts is off to the compost.
Thanks Cala for posting that picture.
Congrats on getting that one to bloom. I had it for a while, but it never bloomed for me so off it went.
This one will take it's chances in the garden. I'm not bringing it in.
