Help!!! Internet or windows 2000 problem.......

I need help, Yesterday afternoon I went to check out DG and when I went to connect to internet It kept telling me to put in my password. I thought the kids erased it so I typed it in and it kept giving me a error message of 635. I called my ISP server today and we tried a couple of things and they did not work. He told me that it could be problem with windows 2000. I have been trying to contact HP because that is the brand we have (HP Pavillion M70) Well their number has been busy all day and I told my husband that maybe somebody on DG could help!! If you have any ideas PLEASE let me know, I am having DG withdraw!!!!! If anybody is really good at finding errors like this could you help???? Thanks, SUE
