A baby fruit on vitifolia??? I haven't been able to get fruit to set on this one either. This sure looks like one, I used caerulea alba for pollen.
Sorry it's a bit dark, it was getting late when I took this one.
Tim, is it?
It appears to be a fruit. Is it green with white specks?
YES!!! It appears to have grown a bit today.(this is terrible, like I don't have anything else to do)
I checked it again today, it's growing!!
Tim, I wanted to tell you that the coral colored
Passiflora you sent me is blooming. I am so excited about it. The others are doing great also. I am still holding your chocolate cosmos for you.
Patricia
Patricia, I'm trying to keep a chocolate cosmos alive to send to Evert, I've lost one already, what am I doing wrong?
Calla, Mine are in full sun and we occassionally get real hot weather but usually in the summer we are
in the mid 80's to low 90's. They grow them for commercial sells here on the coast, so it may be
the humidity where you live that is the problem. I also know they don't like freezing tempratures. I have had them survive light frost but not heavy frost. I hope that this helps........Patricia
Calla, I forgot to add that if you lose your's let me know. I have four in the ground right now.
Patricia,
That's great! The others should flower soon, I hope. If the chocolate cosmos can be mail now I would love to get them into ground in VA while I'm here. Thanks!
Susie,
The humidity is not good for the chocolate cosmos. I tried some last year in FL, they did ok until the summer, then they all just died.
I'm trying to keep the chocolate cosmos alive for Evert, it's too sickly to send right now. He wants one really bad.
