Golden Lady

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

And would you like to guess what color she is??? I pollinated her with L'Amour, GTX, EP and Amber Rose...oh, and Whiskers. I know she's got a bit of a yellow color when she first opens, hope I didn't make a boo boo with L'Amour.

she's beautiful. even if you get a white double from the L'amour cross, it will have pink genes, right?

Uh oh, that's a Monika question. Seems like it would. Only one problem, if all these crosses take, where in the world am I going to put the seedlings???

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

um, you know me, sucker for punishment!! I'm already going to have to dig a field up for Eric's, might be coerced into planting one or two of these:)

I was thinking today "do I 'really' like those daylilies that much?"

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

oh, now those I have plenty of room for, you know DH!!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

She is beautiful. Sounds like some good crosses. Cala, you're going to need to hire a dump truck to haul all those seeds.LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

How much land do you have tiG??? I have land envy and brug lust. The 2 do not go well together!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

we only have a bit less than 6 acres, but most of it is swamp. thinking I might clear some of the swamp out, plant brugs there and take care of the watering problem!! LOL!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

only have a bit less than 6 acres.............. poor you! LOL I measure my yard in feet not acres........ sad but true

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

That would work!!

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Oh I love this one that I don't have any double or triple that I was hope to get some day. If anyone have would like to have one cutting.

Cala, this year was the first time, that I have seen real color on Golden Lady. She is a beauty. Her mother was a flore plena, thats all we know. Ursel Neu believes, that one of her mothers early golden aurea was the pollinator.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I think your crosses are gunna be winners! The flower is gorgeous!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

I have brug lust and the land. Have 1 and half acres I can plant plenty on.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Oh Dee, I didn't know. Seeds will be on their way to you, lol.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

kell, it's not all usable land! if I had anymore usable, I don't know how I'd keep up with the watering. but using the swamp isn't such a bad idea is it?? hmmmmm

Cala,
My Golden Lady is finally resting....it had bloomed it's little heart out since early spring. Some of the seedlings that was crossed with Whiskers are about 2 feet tall now....let's hope something comes of them.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

Have a question - will the mail go out to day since there is a run-off election??

PJ,
I would think so....it's not a federal holiday. Give them a call.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)

You can't get through here - just a big central recording for general info - since TIG used to work for them I thought she might know.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it's not a holiday

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Do alligators live in your swamp tiG?? I would be afraid of alligators!

Redrose, when I start to cut on my golden lady and if you still do not have a cutting, I will send you one. Mine has just begun to flower.............none open yet!!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)
