Hmmm, don't know. Monika? Eric? Kyle?

The original brugmansia forms were rumored to be all white in the distant past...aaaaaaaaaand certain crosses promote whites..look at all of mine!!!!LOLLike Monika says breed colors to like colors to get colors.AND NO FROSTY PINKS!!!LOL

but...cala...are you saying it had yellow blooms first, then, on the very same plant, started getting white? could that happen to mine?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Meiyu, lots of brugs change colors as they open. EP starts out creamy yellow, goes pure white and then pink, usually overnight. The white ones usually start out yellow and fade to white within a few hours to overnight.

OHHH!!! like my pink ones...they start out as a yellow bloom, then open to pink!!! want some really bright yellow for your white? or did i send you some already...oh, no, that was gingerlily, i think?

Meiyu, I have several yellows, just loved the shape of some of these and hoped they were colored.

they're just lovely, anyway, cala!!!

The color of all flowers before opening is not yellow but lime green. Its something like a embryonal color and cannot be considered as color at all.

okay, if a flower is showing pink edges on the morning of the day it should open up, can it go back white?? I mean a lot of pink around the edge. It's still tightly wound, and if it doesn't bloom tonight I won't have much hair left!!!

hi monika!!! i swear, my pink brug has blooms that are a bright yellow on the outside, then open into a pale pink flower. the first time she bloomed my friend jim asked me how i had yellow and pink on the same tree, and that's because some were open and some not yet. i just cut them all back, unfortunately, so i have to wait a while before they bloom again, and i didn't have a digital camera before recently, so i will post pics as soon as she starts blooming again...i think there's still hope for more this season as we have a very long summer here.
tig, stop pulling out your hair!!! easier said than done, right? i'm the same way...i go check every hour sometimes!

here is the one costing me my hair. I promise if it doesn't open tonight I will be officially crazy!! LOL! http://davesgarden.com/editgj/showimage.php?iid=10855

she's beautiful, tig!! and monika, now that i've seen it in a pic, i guess it is actually green, huh? mine looked just like that, but not as pink around the edges.

Dont worry, tiG, it will turn into pink. The corolla tube is already blown and the flowers gets color.
