Light Bulb Just came on!!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

I think I have just figured out why most of my brugs are not blooming at all yet or just very little. Because.....

When most of you are getting cold we will still be warm and growing our brugs so we can still post pictures and head off the winter doll drums!!! LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Can you see me sticking my tongue out at you!!! I was wondering today if it's the day length that determines when they will bloom. I had blooms in early summer when the days were about as long as they are now, then off and on, but not big flushes like now. Are these brugs short day length bloomers?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hey Cala, good question. Mine have so many more buds now than before, but of course they have put on growth and made room for more, but it does seem like they bloom best when the weather is a bit cooler.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Dee, here's hoping. mine didn't get frost bitten until the week of christmas last year. seems like it was the week after christmas the year before that. i checked the floridata frost date thing, and gainesville is supposedly worse than atlanta, only 221 growing days!! 11/5 to 3/29 first and last frost dates. with high 80s in between the few frosts.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I think I have so many buds now because 90% of the cats have turned into butterflies. Still finding a few, but it's much better.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Mine have been getting buds like crazy. Almost all of them are now budded and I'll never see many of them bloom. Even though it was near 90 today the frost is not far away.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

I agree Snow. Hopefully it will hold out and we will be able to see them. Farmers Almanac doesn't make it real promising though.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Snow,that "F" word is a bad,bad word!!

Dee,
I'm waiting for flowers too....suppose to cool down into the 80's in a day or two.

Jonesboro, GA(Zone 7b)
