Offering: Japanese iris seeds (germinate easily), Chianti and other sunflower se

Woodbourne, NY(Zone 5a)

I'm renting this property, so I'm trying to stick to annuals. Besides, I've been in the city so long that I couldn't possibly wait a year for perennials!

I could use just about anything. This place has NEVER been landscaped at all! I'm filling a circa-1940, cracked, in-ground swimming pool to make a flower garden.

I've received some nice columbine and irises from a neighbor. I did spring for some dahlias, canna lilies, a few roses, a couple of clematis, some day lilies, and I have seeds started for white marigolds, blue salvia, four o'clocks and morning glories (the porch is latticed).

I have a shady area that I am a little puzzled by. I'd love to get some young coleus plants, but they may be too fragile to travel. I've also read that torenia will do well there, but can't find the seeds locally.

I'm sorry to steal the idea about snail flower vines, but I read the post and looked them up, and they're lovely! I love the blue-eyed daisies, too. I saw them in England several years ago and just got my first two plants of them last fall. I just noticed that they survived the winter and are putting out leaves. (My English friends had tried to bring me starts once, but, when they arrived, they had brought only stems!)

I'm also going to be starting a vegetable garden, but this post is long enough already!

Thanks in advance for any responses!

My subject line was cut off. I also wanted to offer various morning glory seed (only a few -- heavenly blue, star of Yelta and giant mixed) and various tomato seeds (grape tomatoes, beefsteak, medium cluster, small cluster [giant vine]), sweet peas, black-eyed susans and possibly some other odds and ends.

Seeking torenia, snail flower, burgundy madness petunias, California petunias ... any other suggestions?

Plantnutz -- Sorry, but I don't know the color of the Japanese iris. Some were germinating on the ground before I collected them, so they should pop right up.

I have finally figured out how to make a trading list, so you can look at the other stuff I have to trade now -- mainly basic stuff, with a couple of interesting things: http://davesgarden.com/tl/Paris

Sandy and Tonia -- emails are on the way! Thanks for responding!
