EE beside my hot house

Kentwood, LA(Zone 8b)

A armadillo uprooted the bulb when it was just starting to put out leaves but I guess it didn`t hurt it any.The leaves are over 3ft long and over 2ft wide.

Its Xanthosoma sagittaefolium...one of the biggest kinds..keep lots of water on it and feed well and stand back!! Can get 10 feet tall and 6ft long leaves eventually.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

That is one impressive plant! All that came from just one bulb?

Armadillo??? I just have to contend with feisty gray squirrels in my area!!! They can be very mischievous too!!!! They love to remove plant tags, uproot new plantings, and topple over pots.........GGGGGGRRRRRRRRR :~(

I've seen pics of a man hanging from the stem of a 15 foot one! Stand back is right.
