Banana ready to bloom
Hmmm, I need a red one to go with my pink and yellow ones. It looks good Eclipse.
is this in the greenhouse??
tiG is in my front yard in the ground..........
okay, tell me again how you do this
tiG I take the plant out of the pot..and put it in the hole, and then water it like a crazy person all summer, then I dig it all up in Oct......simple actually!LOL
but didn't you say you cut it back or something? halfway? cause I can't imagine keeping my 10 ft tree like it is indoors!
wow Kyle, can't wait to see a picure of the flower...
Yeah,Im looking at mine and trying how to fit them back in a pot too.......
well, I was going to just keep the tuber ? over the winter, but very interesting in how I could keep just one of the reds going. I could put Christmas lights on it!
tiG those larger bananas will get cut about half way back and kept cool all winter in the basement.
BEAU-TI-FUL "nana" tree! Does it produce yummy "nanas" too?
Shirley1..no..just pretty flowers...
how in the world do you get it in a pot?? DH was looking at ours and he's thinking no way!
eclipse...gails bringing me home some purple banana from hawaii on wednesday...god how i love to tease...hehe!
I like that one. I don't have any at all in my garden and next spring, I will probably add one because I think it would enrich the view.
Kyle,
Does this pretty banana produce seeds from the flower per chance? hint, hint..:-)
