Wowzer!! So beauty-ful!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Fabulous! So many blooms, so close together.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Very pretty and so many blooms. One of my favorites. Can't believe that it was hotter there than it was here today.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It was only 92 here. I didn't realize the Midwest got so hot.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Breathtaking! Great photo!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sure looks better than mine. I don't have any. Cala, we get so hot......well I don't think you want to hear me describe it. Kyles blooms look great. When mine bloomed it was this hot and they just melted, but I had them in full sun. Duh....not to smart of me.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugie, I saw a sign in NM once, 2 miles from water, 2 feet from h***, is that how it is there? At least you have that wonderful praire soil, we have clay and rocks.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Cala, it is just HOT!! Gets so hot sometimes it is hard to get your breath. Your road sign should be at the Iowa entry points. Would have to change them for the winter though. That would take some clever thought from someone. I don't think Kyle would trade his soil for mine. Mine needs tons of compost, peat, sand, just anything to help melt it a little. Right now it is hard as a rock.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This man knows how to grow brugs!! My goodness.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Brugie ,you could add to the sign in winter"welcome to H*ll frozen over!

The only way I could see improving it is to double it!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

CC.....LOL :-)

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

It is stunning! I hope mine grows up just alittle more I thought my 6 blooms were something. It was a horriable little thing when I got it in June. Maybe next year...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee, when I sent it to you TLynn in June you did not say that!!!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Kell you must have me mixed up with someone else, I ordered mine from Valleygrow in FL, I have only on DG less than a month

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Sure you say that now that my feelings are crushed. Sniff Sniff

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

I am not kidding. I really did order mine from valleygrow, you haven't ever sent me anything, but you can if you want and I will rant and rave over it, I promise! hehe!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Tlynn LOL
I am just kidding you! Valley Grow strikes again. I also was taken by that place. 3 died immediately and the others have been trying to commit suicide ever since.

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

Well I was dumb enough to order a CG and a Dr. Seuss, well I guess you know how that went, the versi- orange I posted the other day, almost died, if it hadn't been for DH making funn of my sticks in a box I probably would have give up. I have only had 3 plants out of 12 that actually bloomed. Then mine from LBJ never bloomed, oh wait, I never got those silly me.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

hey kell, she just left the door open for you to unload some Frosties!!!
as for VG, I think something happened to Earl. he was so good at shipping fast, and shipping good stuff. yes, there have been mis-IDs but he tried. I've read nothing but bad lately. nice guy, really 'different' nursery, but nice guy.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

that could be tiG but I consider what he did to me as out right stealing! I paid over $80 for nothing!

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

He got me for $90, but I am like you, I think he must have gotten sick or something because he never has anything on e-bay anymore, I didn't complain just chalked it up. My first order from him was OK, but I ordered small plants that time, and they are doing better that the so called gallons.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

kell, I'm sorry that happened. I just hope the poor old guy didn't drop dead in one of his greenhouses, they'll never find him.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You know tiG, I have a very sensitive heart............ you are making me feel guilty!! Now I picture this old guy trudging thru huge greenhouses, so sick, but honor driving him to put together my order. Oh, but he can't make it, he is out of breath. Oh no, he feels terrible. But he is weak, too weak to get the beautiful plants that have my name on them......oh no.......... look there are some he tossed in the garbage days ago............. dried out but hey, maybe salvageable............ a little spit may revive them. Spit spit. And then with his last bit of strength he decides that since I sure was not getting my money's worth with brug plants he would bestow upon me $80 worth of tape. So with his gasping breath he wrapped and wrapped and wrapped tape around and around and then around again each tiny pot.

And that is how folks, I started growing tape in my brug garden instead of brugs!!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

lol!! that's funny. but when you mention the way those were wrapped, that doesn't sound like how I got mine last year. honest, maybe someone took over for him.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh my God, the tape was horrendous. The plants were so tiny I was petrified I was going to kill them just setting them free.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I just went to the LBJ site - haven't been there in awhile. I've heard a bunch of you say that you never received your orders. I see there is a message there saying NO Brug orders are being accepted. What's that?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

so what are you still looking for that's readily available?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

oh............ that is interesting. I must say their site is beautiful!! Liz, you could step in and save the day. Start cutting and potting!!

I wasn't really looking to buy anything - they never did ship here anyway. I was looking for a really good picture of Butterfly. Mine hasn't bloomed yet.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

My plants from Earl were taped so tight I could hardly get anything behind the tape to cut it. Mine had Priority tape wrapped around the root ball many times, however I did have good luck with his plants. Nice size and good health. One was about 2 ft. tall above the root ball.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

did they not come in pots? I know mine from last year came in pots. 4" I'm thinking. when did you get yours Brugie?

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

tiG - do you think someone else is taking care of business for him?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

it sounds like it to me. but who knows? I hear they don't answer email or anything. need to get Dee to drive out there.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

tiG, I got mine last year in the spring and they were wrapped in plastic and then taped to beat the band. Nice root balls on them all. He made one mistake and replaced it, but I was totally happy with his plants at that time. One of them is that Dr. Suess that is so tall. I thought I had CG and ends up it was Suess all along. Now I have CG, thanks KEll.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

you probably got bigger plants than me, and I'm just not remembering the tape.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

My two plants From Earl were supposed to be gallon sized and came in little tiny pots.He said they would be about 2 ft tall..more like 5 inches.Anyway they grew and are budded but look like two I already have....Valley Sunshine ooks errely like Jean Pasko so far(buds included) and Aurea Gold looks like Dr Suess..will know when they open..I hope they are labeled right!!!
