Lookie here! Got this big ol' fishtank at a yard sale today. I have not figured out the total gallons yet, but it is 48" long. It's an older aquarium made by Metaframe, and it came with a large two-cartridge Whisper power filter as well as another single Whisper filter, plus a large air pump, heater, and a bubbler. Waaaay cool. :D The only thing I need is a hood/light for it.
The guy said it does not leak - he has an outside pond he's been working on, and he said that, until he got his pond finished, he was keeping the goldfish in the aquarium. Even if it does have leaks, my mom said she's repaired fishtanks with the silicone sealers before.
This is actually an answer to prayer for me - I have wanted a big, long aquarium for about 10 years now. The 20g ones have been okay off and on through the years, but I wanted one like this...And there it was!
It blew me away when I asked him and he said he'd take $20 for everything. No, not a typo! Shoot, the big wrought-iron stand is worth that much by itself, and I could make it into a neat sofa table out of it easily enough.
