Tiara for Monika

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Sorry if the blooms are a little tattered. I tried to not tear them up applying the pollen. I've crossed two to GTX, 2 to EP and 2 to Pink Beauty.(yes Kyle, I tagged them)

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

beautiful shape!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Beautiful bloom and some great crosses. Next year should be very exciting.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Cala, it looks like Tiara. No other double has such long flower stems. I would say yes, its Tiara.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Beautiful Cala, good luck with your crosses.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Thanks Monika, I knew it looked different from Knightii, Flore plena and Golden Lady. I was trying to remember what Monika said to cross to get colors, too much to remember!!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Pollinated it with a golden yellow as CG, Whiskers or if possible, a golden aurea. Avoid versicolor genes. Tiara has enough of them.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I'm not sure if I have a golden aurea, but I have Whiskers and CG blooming now. Glad I only used EP on 2 blooms. I thought the calyx looked like versicolor. One of these days I'll figure it out.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I have Solid Gold, does anyone know if it is a Versicolor?
What genes in it?

Good luck Cala....it's another beauty!!!!!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Isn't Solid Gold and insignis type? I have Jean Pasco blooming, but doesn't she give lots of white babies?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I don't remember who it was that said that SG is Aurea Gold x Charles Grimaldi. Aurea x suaveolens x vesicolor cross.Maybe Eric.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Native Habitat, if right, has all the 'common' brugs listed by versi, candida, etc.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks tiG and Calla, NH lists SG as Insignis.

High Desert, CA(Zone 8a)

what beauty Cala!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

She is a nice one. Hope you get some great stuff from those crosses.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Cala, Tiara is candida flore plena x versicolor Kaskade, a peach colored Brug. I would use Solid Gold on it also. I pollinated Tiaras sister Charleston with Luminosa and the rsults were the golden double Anouschka, peach colored Fandango and Floretta as the soft yellow Sommerkönigin and Bolero with it peach touch. Luminosa is a CG x aurea gold cross.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I have Insignis Gold, will that work? I don't have Solid Gold.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Calla it looks awesome!!!!!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Insignis Gold would do it too if it is the one, I once had from Logees.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)
