This was an unexpected Surprise the plant is only 2 1/2' tall, I really didn't expect a bloom this year first day for color. It was labled Versi-orange. What do you think? I was also seeing if I knew how to post a pic, for when the pink opens, it is hanging out about 2" now and is just as green as can be...

beautiful flower, what is it's name?? the reason it bloomed so small is because it's an above the Y cutting.

All the tag said was Versi-orange, it came from Valleygrow. Right now it is the color of Orange sherbert. Smells wonderful. It was about the size of a pencil when I got it, and it has been touch and go with it. Will it continue to get taller, or do I need to do something to help it?

sorry, I missed that you said that in your first post. Glory can tell you how to make it a tall plant, not sure where you'd cut being as it's in a pot.

It's a beautiful flower Tracey.

Thank You, snow. I was real happy to see it, you can imagine, I have been bloomless just about all year, E.pink has bloomed and Charles Grim. Now this one.

I've found that with my versicolor brugs they all have bloomed short the first time but the next flush of blooms will be up off the ground. However, there is probably a way, as tiG mentioned, to take a cutting that will produce a taller plant. I'll be watching for Glory to post so I can learn too.

Love the color. I have a bunch of short ones - would love to get a few blooms like this!!

When it puts out side shoots below the Y, or from the roots, just root those, they will be taller.

Thanks Cala, I was just proud to see her bloom, I really thought it wasn't going to make it. I will check tomarrow to see if there are any side shoots.

This reminds me of my Bonzai Brug. When I repoted it in a big pot and fertilized it, it began to take off. It's beautiful, but it's a huddled mass, yearning to be free.

I checked this morning, it didn't get any darker. Is this about as dark as versi-orange gets, or is this something else? It is definately a versi, but what about the color?
