It sure feels good to be back, and to see so many familiar names still here. I've been lurking on rare occasions...just enough to be envious of all the folks who were traveling and meeting other DGers this summer.
So maybe I'd better re-introduce myself. I'm a lifelong city girl who moved last year to a cozy little bungalow in the burbs. I don't miss the city one bit! We love having a DRIVEWAY and a house with a little bit of ground. This year the garden wasn't too ambitious. Just some flowers on the sunny side and a couple tomato plants out back. The drought took its toll, but my poppies and zinnias did really well.
I've been married to my sweetheart for 26 years and we're the proud parents of 2 girls (ages 21 and 18), three boys (15, 13, 11), one dog who loves to chew and one cat who hates to be chewed on. The girls are both off at college now, so I'm living in an all-male world.
I didn't realize how long I'd been away from DG until I scrolled through some of the forums a while back and saw pictures of Badseed's beautiful baby, who can't POSSIBLY be that big already. So: what else have I missed?
suky
Been gone a while.
Welcome Home, Suky.....You have missed a lot...Dave adds something new about every day....so be sure to go in and update your preferences for the forums! The PDB has increased BIG TIME...but one thing hasn't changed...it's stil the greatest site around...and we're still "family". Jo
Suky, good to see you back here! I was thinking about you (actually about your chosen nickname) the other day...humming "Mack the Knife" while I was doing something (that is where you got it, right?) Welcome home!
Welcome back Suky, yep, there are lots of changes. And lots of new people. We hope to see you around here more often.
Hey Suky gal, great to see ya back!!!
