Pimples on Butterfly Brug

I just threw away a bud off my Butterfly and it looked like it had pimples on it....why?

because it's in its adolescence,don't all teens get zits?(just kiddin)

were they like galls?or tiny?,did you rip open the bud to see if it was deformed inside?

I've had that happen, usually caused by a bug bite. Sometimes high temps combined with high humidity will make bumps on the leaves and buds.

I hate pimples:) Hate bug bites too:) Brugs in my yard seem to have minds of their own, but no pimples yet:)

Yes,
I opened up the flower and it was deformed....so that's either galls or from the heat...and it has and is hot here.
Do I do anything about it if it's gall or will they go away?

This has been a strange year for Brugs here....heaven only know what will show up next....10 ft tall white flies?

Mealy Bugs are another major pain in the butt. I hope you find something to kill them before winter and I bring in all those coleus cuttings....mealy bugs love coleus.
