wow, how lovely!!!! i guess i didn't know that there were more colors than just the pink!! the blooms look so big? how big are they really weezingreens??

They are about the size of a hollyhock or hybiscus... not really big, I guess. I usually grow the Beauty Mix, so I tried the Silver Cups and Mont Blancs this year. The Silver Cups are a satiny pink. Unfortunately, I sold all those this spring before I could set some aside for myself!

It seems we gardeners always overlook the beauty of white in the garden. We're always looking for more bang for our buck. These lavatera have such dark foliage, that it really sets off the flowers. They don't get very tall compared to some of the other varieties, so they would look good in a border just in front of the tall plants and behind the short ones.
