Inside Tiara

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

The first blooms are just starting to open. I pollinated them with pollen from the GTX. I had to pull the tendrils out to get to the center. It was neat how they were folded one over the other.
Don't look at my dirty thumb in the photo!!

Gold Traum X unknown. It was a seed from Monika.

Cool Cala, now please save me a few of those seeds. That should be one great cross.

Honibee, I'll get it out this weekend, I was not up to it last week.
Y'all should see this brug today!! I meant to get a photo, but got busy closing up the greenhouses for the night and completely forgot. The center is yellow, the outside is creamy white with yellow blotches on it!! It's beautyful!! Those tendrils are long too. Monika, is it really Tiara?

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Beautiful Cala!!

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

Another beauty.

I am not sure, Cala. You should post a picture, showing the complete flower.

Tiara has very large flowers, the corolla crown is broad, the tendrils rather short. Flower stem is long (versicolor like, so is the calyx).

If you wish, I could post a picture of Tiara.

Monika, OK, and I'll post one of mine. Whatever this one is, I like it. Golden Lady has buds too. I'm waiting for her to open. Since this one has more yellow in it, would it be better to use a yellow pollen donor like Whiskers instead of the apricot color of GTX?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Tiara has much versi influence. Some her flowers tend to be deformed. Mme Blin quit using Tiara as a mother plant, because many of the offspring had deformed leaves. I would pollinate Tiara with Whiskers and GTX, both have little or none versi genes.

Thanks Monika, I just saw this. Glad I didn't use too much EP pollen then.
