oh man! what a great color. is this a first day pic????

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I think this was the second day. It opens this color though.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Gold Traum cross? It's a beauty. It was worth the wait!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Cala, can i send you my list for a trade for that one? love the color. i think tonny posted a pic with colors like that recently, can't remember the name though.

Love it Cala. Beautiful colour.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Beautiful!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Very, very nice - did we ever find out what the X was?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Cala, maybe this one and Tiara is a fair trade for my Esmeraldas though I was holding out for L'amour.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I missed that - you have an Esmeraldas too?? Make up the spare room - I'm hitching a ride with brugcrazy in October.

I think she's playing with you Liz.

Seeds came from HHG, I think. All the package says is Brugmansia Hybride ( Hybride vom "Goldtraum')

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

ah brugcrazy but you should see the list she just sent me - yes there are a few we NEED.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Liz, why do you think we call her Esmy??? she's playing a trick on you!!!!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

very creative way to unload frosties

Send on that list Liz.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I think we all want on the list for this one Cala, hoping mine is similar!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LIZ.........that list was not my list!!! That is why I asked you if you had ever heard of them. Someone actually wants to trade with me!! YES trade with me!! a frosty freak no doubt! That was a partial of her list!!!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Cala . . this is truly lovely and amazing. Love it!!!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Congratulations, Cala. What a beautiful color!

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Beautiful. I love the color.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Love it Calla, feel bad that we'll all be wanting you to chop it all up just so we can have pieces of your gorgeous brug........

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

that's what those teeny side shoots are for!! LOL!!

FSH, TX

Color and shape are wonderful. Nice thick calyx from the looks of it as well.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Yep Brugman, it's got a bit of substance to it and it's loaded with buds. This little brug is only about 3 feet tall(1m)and had lots of little side shoots. I took them off the other day to give the buds more(what am I trying to say? nutrients from the roots?) and will share them.
Now I need Monika to give it a name so we can quit calling it GTX,(sounds like a car or something)

Matthews, MO(Zone 6b)

That is beautiful. I am with you, it needs a name, isn't GTX a motor oil? How long did it take to bloom from the time you started it?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I planted the seeds this year. Maybe Jeanne can help me remember the month, lol.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

first week of march or so....................

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Thanks Arlene

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

it did a nice fast job of growing, didn't it! less than 6 months to bloom. it sure is a great looking flower.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I'm finding that everything that came from those batches of seed were very fast to grow and bloom. And grow BIG!

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Liz, did you get pretty flowers from them?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I wish I'd had more come up, I think I babyed these too much.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

I have buds, close but not blooming - in the next few days if the weather doesn't go south. But the plants and the leaves are huge. And I planted mine on March 5th. So there goes the theory about waiting until the second season. I guess if you breed for quick bloom and you know what you're doing this is it.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

can't wait to see your pics. the TS eddie is headed back this way, we are supposed to be cloudy/chance of Tstorms through next wednesday. sounds like a break to me.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Cala, this is a beauty, can I get in line too?? You have my list don't you?? Sure hope I can get the hang of brug seeds. Will be practicing again this winter.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Dee, if I can do it, anybody can!! Before last summer, I didn't even know you had to have 2 different kinds to pollinate.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Congratulations Cala, you have yourself a beauty there. Great color.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Very pretty one.
