This little grass snake was getting a drink of dew that had puddled on the brug leaves. I like to have them around, they like to eat grasshoppers. Now to teach him to eat the worms on the brugs.
No, they aren't poisonous and their mouth isn't big enough to bite more than the tip of your pinkie finger.(I've never had one bite me)
A Welcome Guest getting a drink
cool! it took me a minute to find him. I have lots of baby lizard type thingies on mine and I started talking to them.
Anything that will eat the bugs off of the brugs is welcome in my garden, as long as it doesn't fall on my head!!
He's cute.
he is cute. i think it would make me nervous. we've had a very large fat black snake living around here for a few years, saw him twice in the past week. i guess i'm used to him. i think about brugie every time i see it.
Arlene, why Brugie? What kind of snake is he? I always wanted a pet snake.
this one is so cute.

LOL Arlene, I sure do not want a big black one.............
He is cute, we have garter snakes here too. I pick up everyone I find and move them to the flower beds, I thought I was the only woman who actually who liked them. Now don't get me wrong the only ones I move are those, we have poisonous snakes here so I only touch what I know and get DH for the rest.
Wow, how'd you spot him? Blends right in. Nice pic!
I had just been back under that brug turning on the water. I turned around and noticed movement. His face had a bit of color on it, and I think that's what I saw first.
