He's finally blooming & has lots more buds coming.
Ollie
I think Ollie stays white.
i see lots of seed pod markers! how are they doing?
my dad had an aunt named ollie who was habitually late. since age 17, my entire family and close friends have called me smitty. long time short, when it suits him my dad calls me smitty ollie! i made my sis promise to make sure my funeral starts late..................
I dunno how they're doing. I've just been pollinating like a mad woman. It's too soon to tell if I'll get any pods. I don't have a lot of different blooms to work with so I've just been playing around with what I have. Twice now ... I've gone to a new flower to pluck out an anther & pulled out the stigma by mistake. What a dummy!! Lol
i think we've all done that trick, i have! i'm so bad i've started ripping up the flowers to pollinate. ollie fragrant? it's pretty. btw, i know you are going to need more seeds, right?
Pretty one. Sounds like you know how to pollinate brugs, just need more colors. Good luck!
Lol Arlene!! You are a brug-pusher!! I can't start as many as I did last winter. No way ... No how. I have too many to bring inside now. I can start a few... but that's it!!
Ollie has a nice fragrance. I keep waiting for the blooms to open wide - but I don't think they're going to. I've been out with flash light and laterns to catch it wide open.
Sue, I'm excited for you. My Ollie is about a week away from its first bloom. A lot of mine have bloomed once, but in the next couple of weeks, things will really start poppin' again.
Very pretty poppysue. It looks like it has a big flower.
Poppy,
Is that a full blooded Ollie or and Ollie Hybrid ? The original Ollie is a creamy color....I got the seed from LBJ.
This is the full-blooded plant you sent me last fall. It is sorta creamy colored. Do the flowers open up wider for you?
Poppy,
Yes, they do open up all the way...check them at night.
