Amber Rose

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This opened yesterday and today is totally different. Couldn't get a good side shot because of where it is hanging in the plant. This is one of Eric's hybrids.

Good job! Hope it gets more color, have been told it looks like a spinning wheel.

(Zone 6a)

Nice, but I prefer the more colorful ones:) Does it have much fragrance?

"Oh, baby I waited so long for your kiss.
For something to happen, something like this."
(L. Cohen, "Light as a breeze")

I waited for as long to finally seing Amber Rose`s flower. *lol* - and its better, than any kiss. Gosh, its a beauty, Eric!!!

Shirley, please, please post a bad sideview then. *lol*

Cool, it does look like a spinning wheel.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

yes, would love to see what you can get of the side. Full sun or light shade??? I have buds on mine now, and this is so special to me.

very nice Brugie and what a good looking wrist you have.
Sing more to us Tonny!

From the outside, you don't see much color. It will probably change. I just went out to look at it, in full sun, and it is a little limp from the heat we are having today. Cold front is to come through so maybe the brug blooms will last longer this time around. I did get a picture of it from the side, but looks about like any other brug right now. If the color changes, I'll post another picture. Glad I could post this one for you Tonny.

Beautiful.

Thank you for doing so, Shirley. :-) I looked at Amber Roses flower many times now. *lol* Still think its as beautiful as when I opened this thread.

Owen, can't smell it during the day and I'm not early to get up. Will check it out tonight.

Tonny, there are three open blooms and they are already eaten by the cucumber beetles.

Kell, my wrist is fat, just like the rest of me. :-)

we do not use that word Brugie, we use well fed instead and it is not anyway!!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Speaking of food Brugie, I do not think I have seen Eclipse since he last visited you. what did you do with him??? LOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Beautiful. I like the way the pink kinda blends in.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Kell, I didn't feed him so he has not toppled over from food poisoning. :-)

To me this brug bloom looks more soft salmon color. Tonight I could begin to see a little color on the outside of the skirt.

I sure hope it turns out to be a "keeper". Sounds as if it gets prettier by the minute.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gloria, not mine. The blooms are being eaten by bugs and that doesn't make for a nice looking bloom. Seems these bugs like only certain brug blooms. This one must be really sweet.

Owen, I didn't take the time to bend over and smell for fragrance tonight. I'm sure it probably does smell nice. I can't say I've ever run across one that I didn't like the smell.
