and tell me again why we can't get these over here???? Who brought brugmansia's to the attention of the powers to be? It does not make sense to me. Itis not like we have a huge brug consortium here in the states that has a vested interset in hybridizing brugs. DO we?? Brugs are not even a hot commodity here. In fact in California they are considered a trash plant. So how did this all come about?

kell, if you have the money, you can order from Monika. You need the certificate to import, and whatever (Cala can tell you) and the money for the phyto cert. You have to keep the brugs in your possession for 2 years, taking no cuttings at all. They will come and inspect whenever they want to and make sure it's still there.
And I think Cala said that they charge you when they come to inspect. Am I right? If not.....just ignore this post.
How much would the cert cost? Is it just 1 for a whole lot?? Then I would post tons of pictures from California.............

what in the world are you talking about? they, how? there are international brug police? is it like a search warrant, and are limited to the brugs, or can they bust kell if they find weeds in the back yard? (not that there would be any, kell...just being funny) and, you can't take cuttings for 2 years? will you get into trouble if your neighbor's dog knocks off a branch? this is very strange! but i want to order some anyway...what do we do???? oh, no, wait! what if i accidentally kill them before the 2 years probation is over?
