We received an email yesterday from a new member, who was a little concerned that so many tradelists have 2000 dates on the offerings. She wanted to know if it was worth sending emails to those traders, or if their tradelists reflected their actual seed inventories.
I encouraged her to go ahead and contact them, as I know some of us (me included) have many of the same seeds available as last year, but just haven't updated our tradelists yet.)
It also seemed timely to remind all of us: PLEASE update those lists as we prepare for the seed trading season to wind up :)
Tradelists
Eugh! I've spent several hours over the past few days typing out a seed list and now I have to change the one here (Sigh).
Thanks for the reminder Vols *G*
Just a point, whats wrong with seeds from 2000 as long as they have been stored properly? At least it's honest!
Of course, there's absolutely nothing is wrong with offering 2000 seed, assuming it's been stored properly (and that would be honest!
I think this member's question (and my reminder) arose from seeing member pages where ALL of the seed indicates it was listed in 2000....(my page included :(
I reckon that person's concern wasn't so much viability, Baa, as availability.
I know I'd recently been contacted (I was just as remiss as everybody else) for some listed seed which I didn't have to send anymore. I quickly removed all those listings to prevent further confusion.
