Blah-blah-blah: E-Mail Headers In A Nutshell

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

With the viruses being spread on the web, especially those which forge e-mail headers and masquerade as coming from someone other than the actual victim, it's good to know a little about reading those long headers at the beginning of e-mails. Most of us have our e-mail program set to hide them, so you'll have to consult your e-mail program's documentation to see how to reveal all that good gobbledygook. Or just type something like "showing e-mail headers in " at google.com. ;)

Once you've done that, check out these links regarding how to read those headers and follow the e-mail from its origin to when it got to you.
